 Jack Allan Abramoff
Full Name: Jack Allan Abramoff
Born: Feb. 28, 1958 in Atlantic City, New Jersey

Jack Abramoff is probably the most famous corrupt lobbyist of all time. A Republican, he worked for the law firm Preston Gates & Ellis (“Gates” stands for Bill Gates’ father) and was a member of George W. Bush’s administration.

When an escaped teenage sex worker told the world about the horrors of sex abuse in garment factories in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Abramoff was recruited to discredit her. Abramoff was later at the heart of an extensive corruption investigation that led to the conviction of nearly three dozen people, including White House officials, Congressional aides and Abramoff himself.

For his astounding crimes, Abramoff spent less than five years in prison.
