Open/Close All Shadow people is a term coined by political activist David W. Blomstrom to describe people who serve the ruling class primarily as spies, informers or actors. Shadow people include undercover cops and lawyers and media whores who pose as ordinary citizens. They should not be confused with con-ops (controlled opposition) who are generally more in the public eye. However, shadow people and con-ops often work together, and their may be some overlap.Though most people are familiar with the term undercover cop, relatively few people are aware of the magnitude of the shadow people phenomenon. Blomstrom estimates that at a typical public forum in Seattle, more than half the people in attendance may be undercover cops, media whores, union whores, attorneys and workers, teachers and parents who serve as spies and informers.
